Two Hour Historic Harbor Tour with Key West Legal Rum owner and distiller Paul Menta on the S/V Argo Navis talking about ‘Prohibition, Rumrunning & Rum Distilling’
On Friday, November 15, Menta will lead an illuminating morning seafaring excursion presented by Key West Art & Historical Society aboard the luxury catamaran SV Argo Navis, departing from the dock at 0 Margaret Street at 10:00 a.m. and returning at 12:00 p.m.
Passengers will enjoy Bloody Marys, mimosas or non-alcoholic beverages along with lite breakfast fare as Menta explores the storied history of American Prohibition, Key West’s connection with Cuban rum production, famous rumrunners who traversed the Florida Straits including Spanish Marie, and opening the first legal rum distillery in Key West.
