Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and courage to the haunted fort and watch the classic horror movie – Night of the Living Dead.
Night of the Living Dead was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry, as a film deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.” Released October 1, 1968, before the film ratings system was introduced, director George Romero crafted the most well-known independent horror film, now a cult classic, in the world, and is still the mother lode of all ghoul, or what we now commonly think of as zombie movies.
The film is the best precursor to the Zombie Bike Ride which is also sponsored by Key West Art & Historical Society and kicks off here at East Martello Fort Museum.
KWAHS will be showing the film on the big screen under the stars in the courtyard. Food, drinks, beer and wine will be provided (please no outside food or drink). Come join in the fun.
Free popcorn for everyone!
