Eric Martin - Florida Straits Lighthouses @ Key West Art & Historical Society  | Key West | Florida | United States

In this presentation, Eric will talk about the lighting of the Florida Straits, including mention of Cape Florida, Key West, Sand Key (lost but not forgotten), the Dry Tortugas and Garden Key at Ft. Jefferson. He will also explain the role and location of lightships and give a detailed account of the Reef Lights which include; Carysfort Reef, Sand Key, Sombrero Key, Alligator Reef, Fowey Rocks and American Shoal.

Eric S. Martin has a B.A. in History from the University of Central Florida. He was on the Cape St. George Lighthouse Board of Directors, has been a member/volunteer with the Florida Lighthouse Association and the Florida Keys Reef Lights Foundation since 2002 and has been an active board member
and president since 2008. Committed to sharing Florida’s history, Eric currently drives the Trolley on International Drive in Orlando
